Executive Functioning and Emotional Regulation
Executive Functioning (EF) is the brain’s ability to perform management tasks such as setting goals, creating a plan and achieving objectives. We have specific lessons to develop our students’ executive functioning skills.
Students are taught how to set short and long term goals, keep track of them and reflect on their progress.
Our executive functioning curriculum is coupled with behavioral strategies that support our students’ goal achievement and self-reinforcement.
Students learn to pay more attention to key parts of a task and be more strategic with their actions.
Students improve their emotional self-regulation.
